Portrait of Brad Bernasek

I'm Brad Bernasek. Currently Director of Engineering at Adios Golf Club in Coconut Creek, Florida. Career has been one long arc through operations, logistics, and facilities — across medical equipment, full-service logistics, higher education, and hospitality.

The work has changed sectors but the core has stayed the same: keep complicated operations running, train good people, build SOPs that survive turnover, stay compliant, and don't let anything fall through the cracks.

Where I've done it

Adios Golf Club — Director of Engineering (April 2021 – Present)

Lead facilities, maintenance, and operations for the clubhouse: HVAC systems, roofing projects, and ongoing facility upgrades. Develop and maintain safety protocols, compliance documentation, and safety committee oversight to ensure operations exceed safety standards and meet code requirements. Manage fire, burglar, access control, and security video surveillance systems — primary contact for monitoring alerts and incident response. Oversee technical infrastructure including AV systems, networking, and technical support coordination. Coordinate with external vendors and contractors on day-to-day repairs and capital projects. Supervise housekeeping staff. Run scheduling and day-to-day operational execution.

Discreet Management — Logistics Account Manager (Dec 2015 – Present)

Independent logistics consultancy. Personal management of accounts across commercial and residential clients, with a focus on accurate sourcing, shipping, storage, and OSHA-compliant documentation.

Florida Atlantic University — Property Asset Manager / Logistics Coordinator (Oct 2011 – Dec 2014)

Daily operations for property management across a multi-campus university with over $1 billion in tracked assets. Trained and managed staff, ran annual multi-phase inventory, recovered and re-introduced surplus assets to the system, and reconciled the asset base to the General Ledger.

United Van Lines / Beltmann Group — Project Manager (Jan 2008 – Sep 2011)

Logistics for a 90,000 sq ft moving and storage facility. Dispatching, OSHA compliance, contractor training, and the SOPs that kept the operation efficient and safe.

LAP of America — Field Project Manager (Dec 2000 – Dec 2007)

Managed delivery, installation, calibration, and quality-control testing of specialized medical equipment across multiple sites and multiple countries. Contributed to the SOP work that supported ISO 9000 certification.
